Ceramic Painting Workshop - Studio Eww Monday

We are proud to say that all of our bisque ware is locally made by The Wonky Wheel Pottery Studio and will continue to be locally made.

Your workshop booking secures your place and includes paints, underglazes, glazes, and firings. Sessions run for up to 2 hours. Some participants may finish earlier depending on the size of their chosen item and their painting style.

On the day, you'll choose from hundreds of ceramic bisque pieces starting at $3,  - paint a mug, paint a plate - including themed items (under the sea, enchanted, birds, and more). Items are purchased separately on the day via card or cash, and participants are welcome to paint more than one piece.

Choose from Two Painting Options

1. Ceramic Acrylic Bisque Paint (Take Home Same Day)

Painted using high-quality, non-toxic specialised ceramic bisque paints (not standard acrylic paints).

A matching sealer is applied on the day or can be taken home for later application.

Items can be taken home immediately.

Paint is touch-dry on the day but takes approximately 24–48 hours to fully cure and become more resistant to chips and scratches.

Not suitable for food-safe items.

2. Underglaze & Kiln Firing

Paint with underglazes and leave your item with us for firing.

Ready for collection in 1–2 weeks.

Items are painted by you and clear glazed by us.

Fired pieces are highly resistant to chips and cracks.

Functional ware such as mugs and plates is dishwasher safe, food safe, and fired to stoneware temperatures.

Decorative pieces are suitable for outdoor use, including gardens.

Examples of painting techniques will be provided during the workshop.
